Hi everyone. I am trying to get alarm flash to send system fault notifications to cell phones within the customers facilities department. We had previously had this system in place but it was sending messages to skytel pagers (now defunct) and the system has been idle for the last couple of years. Does anyone have anything like this in place right now? If so which carrier (sprint, verizon, at&t) are you using to handle it? What is the name of the service (Enterprise paging...etc.).
I have been going around with our cell phone provider now for two weeks, and they are worse than useless so far...hoping that someone here might have experienced this already and has an existing solution.
The alarm flash works by interfacing with the exception list from Signal and then uses an analog modem to send out messages. So what ever solution must be able to handle an old analog modem input signal. If you know of a new software solution to replace Alarm Flash I would love to know about that too. The only thing we cant do is replace the existing DDC controls for the building.
